We aim to provide a service which gives an economical solution to all those small jobs around your home that typically take from an hour to a day.
No job is too small and if something is too big or specialist, we will let you know up front. If in doubt, we will visit and if the work is not in our scope, there is no charge, because we are interested in the quality of our work and we want you to call us again.
A specialist is someone who is trained to a high degree in one area and we may recommend one if it is in your interest for us to do so.
Here are some examples of the type of work we do:
Electrical work such as replacement light fittings, dimmer switches, additional sockets, etc.
Carpentry jobs like hanging internal or external doors, replacing cabinet doors, shelving and skirting
Locks and levers: we can supply and fit a wide range of locks and door/window furniture as well as upgrading your security with insurance approved locks, door viewers and security chains.
Small plumbing jobs e.g. dripping taps and overflows, fitting washing machines and outside taps.
We also assemble flat pack furniture, hang pictures and fit curtains and blinds.
Computer and Audiovisual Support: With nearly 30 years of technology management behind us, we can also help with anything from setting up your home office, linking your PC’s together on wired and wireless networks or helping you to set up your new digital Freeview box.
Larger Projects lasting two or more days such as decorating and kitchen refurbishment are charged at a day rate. Please ask us for an estimate
What we don’t do:-
Gas fitting. Make sure you use a GAS SAFE registered plumber
Roofing /Guttering This is an insurance issue, we can’t get cover for working at height at a reasonable cost.
Drain clearing. Try Thames Water as they may be able to help for free.
Building/Construction work.
Damp proofing and wood treatments
Provide emergency callouts. If you are concerned in general there are several insurers providing emergency maintenance plans for a monthly fee.
